Villa Asta
The heart of the villa is a freeform swimming pool overlooked by a 4m viewing tower which doubles as a diving platform – hours of fun! The pool separates the children and adult sections of the villa. Down the kids’ end are 3 bedrooms - here each bed has a rollaway bed underneath so can sleep up to 12 children (or 6 adults) or handle any combination of sleepovers. Above is the indoor entertainment zone - a large open-sided games room (no air-conditioning) complete with pool table, table tennis, computer, home theatre for video watching and cupboards of well used board games. Out the back, a lawn is set up for badminton but can be used for football, cricket or any other activity the kids may dream up. In case the villa does not offer enough to do – Batubelig Beach is 10 minutes walk away and staying at Villa Asta includes membership to the Canggu Club – a recreational club with a selection of activities including tennis and squash. A car and driver are included (10 hours daily) for ferrying guests.
Seven child-friendly staff are led by the bubbly live-in manager Saka. With 4 waiters/ waitresses and full time chef and cook (who also handles the provision shopping) it is possible for the adults to kick back and relax, enjoy a spa treatment (extra) or just enjoy a quiet dip in their own plunge pool. Generous common areas allow families to converge for meals and in the open poolside lounge.

Villa Asta comprises four separate pavilions set around a freeform swimming pool. The open-sided dining pavilion is furnished with a long table for 16 and is ideal for entertaining. Adjacent is a fully equipped, open-air service kitchen and a bar - a great place for enjoying a casual breakfast or cocktails at sunset.
Spilling out onto the poolside terrace and open on four sides, the living pavilion features a soaring thatched roof and is tastefully furnished with cushioned rattan sofas and chairs. Ceiling fans and gentle breezes keep this area pleasantly cool.
The small air-conditioned TV room (and office) is furnished with deep cushioned sofas and comes equipped with a 32-inch plasma TV and a DVD player with a fair selection of movies. A computer with Internet access (Wifi is throughout the villa), a printer, and a high quality sound system linked to speakers in the living and dining areas complete the technology.
At one end of the garden is a single-storey building housing two air-conditioned master bedrooms, complemented by a plunge pool and a sun terrace. Each bedroom is furnished with a canopied 4-poster king-size bed, a window seat, a 29-inch plasma TV and a dressing room, complete with a safe deposit box. Sliding glass doors lead into garden bathrooms, which are surrounded by walls for absolute privacy. Each is dominated by an oversized, marble bathtub as its central feature and separate rain shower. The plunge pool can be accessed by exterior bathrooms doors, thus avoiding the need to walk through the bedrooms.
Three guest bedrooms and a games room are located at the other end of the garden, away from the main living areas. This 2-storey pavilion houses three air-conditioned bedrooms downstairs, each furnished with twin, trundle beds, which sleep up to four kids as each bed incorporates a spare bed that rolls under the main frame (or max 2 adults). The twin beds can also be converted to a double bed. Each bedroom has an en-suite garden bathroom with a walk-in handheld shower.
The semi open-air games room presents beautiful rice field views. This play area is complemented by a kitchenette, as well as a shower room. Equipment includes a computer, DVD, pool and ping pong tables, and a 42-inch wall-mounted plasma TV. The room is furnished with an abundance of chairs and a large daybed.
