Auraliya
Auraliya is perfectly set up for families; the sandy beach just beyond the villa’s extensive and private garden is protected by a coral lagoon so that swimming here can be enjoyed by little paddlers who will also adore chasing crabs on the generous width of white sand. At the heart of the villa lies the inviting sky blue swimming pool whose fibre-optic colour-changing lights are magical come dusk as they reflect the stars emerging in the sky. Since the pool is located between the living pavilions and the bedrooms, it makes keeping an eye on the little ones a dream whilst the spacious grounds surrounding the property give plenty of scope for them to let off steam; there’s more than enough space for a game of cricket.
Auraliya is designed for maximum relaxation and zero stress. Sunbeds languish on the sun drenched lawn whilst fresh blue cushions in the chill-out pavilion offer respite from the heat. Bose speakers in the living areas provide an atmosphere dependent on your mood whilst a sea-view bar on the fringe of the garden is the perfect place for sipping exotic cocktails at sunset. The staff are a highlight of the villa and anticipate your needs with smiles that are always bright and welcoming. The chef will delight you with memorable meals (provisions on guest account) that always make dining feel like an occasion.

The design of Auraliya – with nearly all the rooms facing a central pool area – offers plenty of privacy from the outside world. The build is symmetrical; twin corridors extending towards the sea with three bedrooms off each side and the vivid blue ‘+’-shaped swimming pool lying between them. The dining and living pavilions face each other across the other two sides of the pool.
At the furthest end of each corridor, and with the best views of the ocean, are the two master bedrooms featuring expansive king-size four-poster beds and cushioned window seats to soak up the views. The attached bathrooms feature generous circular terrazzo tubs, both inside and outside showers and twin washbasins, and are shared with the middle bedrooms to create two self-contained family suites.
Of the two middle bedrooms, one has a double and a single bed (both four-posters) whilst the other has a queen-size four-poster. In both, windows with cushioned seating bathe the room with light. Of the final two bedrooms, closest to the dining pavilion, one has twin four-poster beds, and the other a double four-poster. Both have private ensuite bathrooms with terrazzo tub, inside and outside shower and twin washbasins. All six bedrooms offer both air conditioning and ceiling fans.
The living and dining pavilions are identical in structure with cool floors and high roofs; both are fan-cooled. The dining table seats 12 whilst the chill-out lounge offers direct views of the sea in vivid blue-cushioned comfort. Towards the rear of the property and close to the mesmerising entrance pond is a TV Room with squashy sofas that offers the ideal scene for kicking back and watching a good movie, or catching up on the day’s news. Opposite the TV Room is the fully-equipped kitchen with centre-island and extensive work tops available for guests to use, although we think this scenario is unlikely given the enthusiasm of the chef.
