There’s more than enough room here for the kids to run around and plenty of places for adults to relax – whether watching satellite-channel TV and movies on the sofas in the open-sided living room, lazing beside the pool, or snoozing in the garden balé (gazebo). The contemporary Balinese architecture, complete with traditional alang-alang thatched roofs, is offset by comfortable modern furnishings, designer lamps and colourful artwork. The modern open plan kitchen and dining facilities are great for enjoying leisurely breakfasts and lunches in between hanging beside the pool and heading out into the fun world of Seminyak’s beaches, shops, spas, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Completed in 2009, this modern, roomy three-bedroom villa is perfect for a family or a small group of friends. Serviced by a friendly crew of housekeepers by day (also available to prepare breakfast or do a turndown service at extra cost), the villa is safeguarded at night by a security team. A traditional Balinese gate, complete with its own tiny thatched roof starts the experience at Villa Indah. Crossing the threshold, guests step onto a small lawn with white stepping stones that lead to the spacious main dwelling, consisting of a dining and living area, washroom, and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar to the back. A large L-shaped sofa with plenty of super-comfortable cushions faces the flat-screen satellite-channel TV (complete with DVD player) at one side of this area while, at the other side, a solid wood dining table will comfortably seat six. The living/dining area is completely open at the front, facing out to the garden with its white-stone pool terrace and pool. A large Buddha-face water feature at the far end of the pool serenades guests with the soothing sounds of falling water.

Flanking the living room are two of the bedrooms, while the third bedroom is in a separate, stand-alone pavilion beside the pool. The master bedroom has a flat-screen satellite-channel TV, and a netted, four-poster, queen-size bed. The second bedroom also has a four-poster queen bed, while the third room is slightly smaller with a double bed. All rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning and the ensuite bathrooms are all semi open-air, yet walled for privacy. The master bathroom has a bathtub open to the sky with a hand-held shower, and the other two ensuites have walk-in, open-air rain showers. All the rooms in the villa have polished terrazzo flooring under high vaulted ceilings.

The final touch is a lazy Balinese balé, positioned in the garden and fitted with a deep mattress, ideal for enjoying a massage or an afternoon snooze.
