Baan Ling Noi
An ideal choice for several couples sharing or a group of friends on a chilled break, Baan Ling Noi (which means ‘little monkey’ in Thai) is a place to slip away from the world, enjoy generous outdoor terraces for long lazy breakfasts and sundowner gatherings, or lie by the 20m infinity pool absorbing the peace and natural surroundings. Sand-washed stairs link the villa's three levels and provide clear divisions between the various living and sleeping areas, allowing for private moments which balance the more social elements of shared accommodation. A full-time maid makes the daily breakfast (included in price) and keeps everything fresh and organised and a gardener/handyman is also on hand. Both of them are happy to take on additional chores as needed. For specific requests, the management company's efficient concierge service is just a phone call away and an in-house chef can be provided (at extra cost) if desired.
Although intentionally modern in design, the villa manages to capture the spirit of the location. There are plenty of outdoor areas to relax in, plus an impressive variety of tropical flora in the well-maintained gardens that surround the villa. And although just 2km from bustling Bo Phut, at Baan Ling Noi you can experience a complete sense of escape. The spectacular seascapes are accompanied by the sounds of nature, and only rarely interrupted by man-made intrusions.

A cute wall of clay monkeys guard a fish pond at the entrance to the villa, from which double doors open onto a hallway with stairs leading down to the right and a guest bathroom to the left. Passing both, you enter the main living, dining and kitchen area – an elongated room fronted by an expansive balcony that overlooks the pool and makes the most of the breathtaking views. The lounge is to the right, with contemporary furnishings, a plasma screen TV (the villa's only TV) and home theatre system. To the left, an extendable wooden dining table seats up to 10, served by a fully-fitted kitchen with black granite breakfast bar and high-end appliances. There is a second, circular dining table on the terrace for al fresco meals.
Downstairs from the main entrance you pass a lawned garden to the right of the sandstone-tiled pool deck. A terrace runs the length of the pool, fronting two of the villa's four bedrooms (all air conditioned), directly below the upstairs living area. The first bedroom is a double with ensuite shower room and twin wash basins. A walk-in wardrobe completes the facilities, while blackout curtains cover sliding glass doors onto the poolside. Next door, a second bedroom mirrors the first, but this time with twin beds. Looking out diagonally across the pool, a separate building houses the villa's master suite and, below it, the fourth bedroom. The master has large windows on two sides, allowing guests to enjoy views right from the bed across the pool or down through the forest to the sea. A pleasant bathroom features a huge free-standing terrazzo tub and a walk-in rain shower (also with a view). The whole area is backed by built-in storage.
Back outside and a few steps up is a large covered pavilion with a long, comfortable built-in sofa and a fridge – perfect for idle pleasures, day or night. Then more steps lead down to the left through a small, steeply sloping garden to the fourth bedroom; a spacious double that also boasts great views from the bed, as well as from the shower room window.
