Villa Mana
Villa Mana’s generosity of space is celebrated via three levels and through a tropical, modern, open-plan design that creates few barriers between the indoors and the out. Soaring ceilings, deep terraces, sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors and features such as a floating staircase, a massive roof terrace and an infinity pool only serve to continue the flow of boundaries and make the property feel bigger than it already is. Added to this is the liberal use of natural materials that give the property bags of character and enrich its chic tropical style: deep walls are coated with rough-hewn river stone, dark panelled wood, rattan or glass whilst the entire floor is poured black cement. Interiors are modern and minimal, although lavishly large sofas, private relaxing areas and multiple dining locations place a focus not only on design but on comfort too.
Deep, decked steps sweep theatrically down from the pool terrace to a large green lawn, bordered on three sides by paddy fields. Football and croquet are just two sports that can be played here. It's also a functional place for energetic children to let off steam. Villa Mana fully supports families – there’s a trolley full of pool inflatables, baskets brimming over with toys, and a home cinema – with plenty of spots for privacy, peace, or playfulness. The villa is fully staffed and the cook well-versed in both Indonesian and western cuisine which is prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen from provisions charged at cost on guest account.

Villa Mana is defined by its open living spaces, private enclaves and sweeping views. From the moment you walk through the villa’s tall wooden gates, you are enshrined in privacy and greeted with a breathtaking view of the lush rice paddies beyond.
On the ground floor of the villa are four bedrooms, an entertainment room and a study as well as an open-sided well-equipped modern kitchen and huge living space that flows from the middle of the house out towards the pool and then on around each end of it. Oversized sofas beneath soaring ceilings look very much at home in the central sitting area and offer plenty of comfort even if the villa is full. To one side is a long dining table for 12 whilst outside on the decked wooden pool terrace are a further dining table for 12, circular loungers, sunbeds and a couple of intimately placed seating areas.
Each of the four bedrooms on the ground floor is spacious and comes with air conditioning, cupboards, electronic safes and floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors onto either the pool terrace or rear garden. Three of the bedrooms (including a pool-view master) feature king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms whilst the fourth is twin-bedded with a bathroom across the corridor. Each bathroom features cement-moulded washbasins and tubs, rain showers and a tropical, outside-in design.
The twin bedroom has a third (trundle) bed and is located next to an air conditioned study with mezzanine-level queen-size bed ideal for extra children or a nanny. The large entertainment room with satellite TV/DVD player, projector screen, sound system and toy box is conveniently located opposite the twin.
A floating staircase leads from the rear of the kitchen to the roof terrace, which is furnished with circular cushioned loungers, a dining table with bench seating for 12 and a cushioned corner sitting area with pergola roof. Off this terrace are two identical air conditioned master bedrooms with king-size beds, sliding glass doors to the front, a cushioned screen wall in black and gold silk, and ensuite bathrooms with centre-island cement-moulded washbasins, Japanese suar-wood bathtubs, mirrored wardrobes and rain showers
Also on the top floor is an air conditioned study with leather sofa, LCD TV, a desk, sliding glass doors to the front and a gigantic beanbag.
