Nirwana Golf Villas - Ocean and Golf
The golf course, along with this four-bedroomed, staffed villa, lies within a sprawling gated complex which includes the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort (formerly Le Meridien) as well as a number of other private luxury residences (including Villa Arjuna, Villa Senja, Villa Samudera, Villa Bunda and Villa Ombak Nirwana). When not playing golf, guests have the option of spending days in the privacy of their villa sunbathing by the plunge pool, or enjoying the many leisure facilities available at the resort (extra charges apply). Villa staff will shop for you and cook dishes from a suggestion menu (provisions on guest account), or you can call the resort hotel for room service (24 hours). The Pan Pacific also has four restaurants to choose from should you wish to eat out.
Ocean and Golf is equipped with a golf buggy for guest use within the complex. It’s fun and easy to drive yourself or you can sit back and be chauffeured by the villa staff. The hotel lagoon pool is hidden behind the 13th tee only a 300m walk along the side of the fairway, and villa guests are also welcome to use the lap pool at the owner’s residence (100m). There’s certainly plenty here to keep children entertained – indeed the villa is well set up to accommodate families, with twin beds in one room.
The golf course and hotel restaurants provide breathtaking views of Tanah Lot temple; built on a rock stack in the ocean and dedicated to the sea spirits, this sacred Hindu temple romantically silhouettes as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.

Ocean and Golf’s build and furnishings are quite traditional and stately with teak wood furniture, marble floors and an abundance of Indonesian antiques throughout. The living and dining pavilion on the first floor is just the spot to enjoy the sea breeze on hot days. This thatch-roofed structure is open sided and houses a dining table (seats 8), along with two sofas around a coffee table, plus a scattering of easy chairs and even a professional massage table to one side. Across a walkway a small round table and chairs sits in front of two guest bedrooms with ocean views; one twin bedded and one with a four-poster queen-sized bed. A third, less spacious, guest bedroom, also with queen-sized bed, is tucked away on the ground floor. All three guest rooms have TV’s (two of which with large flat screens) and hotel-style marble ensuites (two with tubs and standing showers, one with shower only).
The master bedroom, situated below the living pavilion, is pleasantly spacious. Amongst teak furnishings and the netted, four-poster, king-sized bed, a rattan easy chair and stool provide a comfy spot to watch TV or look out through the sliding glass doors onto the garden patio. Here, a round wooden table (seats four) and two blue-cushioned sun loungers overlook the plunge pool, while a shady, raised balé houses two matching blue daybeds. An outdoor shower area connects to a back door into the spacious ensuite of the master bedroom, complete with his and hers vanities, a deep terrazzo bath and marbled standing shower.
The villa's hub is found in a separate building across a small walkway flanked by ponds. Here, a collection of easy chairs and a sofa look onto a flat-screen TV at one side of the room, whilst a glass-topped oval dining table (seats 8) takes centre stage at the other. A large, well-equipped kitchen opens onto the dining area through a wide serving hatch.
