Baan Sairee
A team of dedicated staff cater to your every whim at Baan Sairee, adding to the princely ambience. Breakfast is usually taken on the terrace and afterwards the villa manageress enquires as to your meal requirements for the rest of the day, offering choices from an extensive suggestion menu or taking specific requests for the private chef (provisions are charged to your account, but at very reasonable rates).
Baan Sairee is particularly appealing for families and would be the perfect choice for two family groups, as each could occupy their own private villa. Renting just one villa is also an option for smaller groups as the property's two villas are totally independent of each other, although they share exactly the same design. The lawn and beach double as an extended private playground and despite the size of the grounds, most of the outdoor areas are within watching distance. This allows adults to relax on one of the terraces or by the pool while the children explore and play. The sea is a little shallow with a lot of rocks but during high tide it's still possible to swim. A pleasant sweep of sand stretches west from the villas, perfect for a spot of private sunbathing or an evening stroll.
As this is effectively two villas in one, total privacy is always an option. It's possible to pass an entire day with little more than a wave to the neighbours in the second villa. Adjoining bedrooms in each do mean this is not really a romantic escape, although a single room separates the two larger bedrooms in both villas, so couples without children could also share a just one of the villas without feeling too intrusive.

From a hidden, walled entrance with private car parking, the expansive grounds open out with the two identical villas to the right and a small sala (relaxation pavilion) overlooking a rocky headland to the left. Crossing the well-kept lawn and passing the 15m swimming pool, you climb steps to reach the teakwood houses, each one boasting exactly the same layout and interiors.
Both villas have an extended wooden deck surrounding two stand-alone pavilions - one housing the living, dining and kitchen area, the other home to three bedrooms. All rooms look out over the garden and ocean beyond. The fan-cooled, open-plan living space is decorated with original Thai artefacts and boasts vaulted ceilings, solid teak tables and chairs plus two comfortable water-hyacinth sofas facing out onto the verandah. A modest but fully-equipped, recessed kitchen space is used to prepare breakfast (there's a main kitchen at the back of the property where the in-house chef prepares larger meals). Behind the living area an adjoining TV room with built-in sofa and wooden AV cabinet adds a modern touch.
On the wooden deck fronting each villa, a grand antique dining table seats eight and comfortable loungers are placed to catch the afternoon sun. The terrace links the living and sleeping pavilions, the latter containing three bedrooms: a twin, a single and a double master bedroom, all with ensuite bathrooms. The twin and double bedrooms have walk -in closets, modern fitted bathrooms with bathtubs and ceiling skylights. A sealed glass door near the bath opens into a spacious outdoor rain shower. The middle bedroom in each villa is smaller, essentially designed as a children's room, with a single bed and small ensuite shower room. Two spare beds for children may be added at an extra cost.
All the bedrooms are air conditioned and decorated with antique furniture such as wooden writing desks, lamps and carvings. Double doors and mosquito screens make the most of the sea views and breezes.
