Villa Sakti
The villa is comprised of four buildings positioned in a neat private walled garden, with a stunning 17-metre swimming pool as its centrepiece. An ironwood deck borders the pool on two sides and is furnished with very comfortable sun loungers, sun umbrellas and lazy chairs. The attention to detail bestowed on the property by its owners is exceptional. The well-stocked library offers plenty of magazines and about 600 books to suit any attention span, and there is a great sound system with extensive collection of music to enjoy.
Guests’ wellbeing has been considered throughout from the full compliment of staff to the villa design itself. The living & dining room, for example, presents floor-to-ceiling glass doors that slide open onto the pool deck, creating an open-air tropical living space. Yet these doors can also be closed for air-conditioned comfort and cosy evenings indoors in front of the TV. Additionally, there is a separate, open-sided dining pavilion with a circular table for ten; this is a lovely shaded space beside the pool for alfresco dining and a great spot for breakfast. A fleet of beautifully trained staff are available 24 hours providing top-notch service. In the kitchen is a full time chef whose repertoire is both Asian and Western (he also undertakes provisioning on the guests account) served by discrete butlers and waitresses; a villa manager is on hand to assist guests including car hire, baby sitting or bringing in spa services.

The main pavilion houses the living and dining room, furnished with a sofa and chairs with a coffee table. The 37” TV/DVD player includes a quality sound system with speakers at either end of the room. The attractive suar wood dining table, located close to the high tech and very well equipped kitchen, comfortably seats ten.
Upstairs, the whopping 11-metre, air-conditioned master suite is a bedroom within a private living room. The king size bed is located at one side, close to the ensuite bathroom, while the centre of the room is furnished with an upholstered, deeply cushioned sofa and armchair in front of a 31” TV/DVD player with a quality sound system. The room features a solid wood floor under a high, pitched roof lined with teak and some attractive artwork. One wall is finished in random red Lombok rock, while sliding floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlook the pool. At one end of the room are antique chairs, table and a Chinese chest, and at the other a lovely old desk. The air-conditioned ensuite bathroom has a large vanity area, twin washbasins and an overhead rainshower.
Off the main pavilion, linked by covered walkways, is the open single storey dining pavilion and the two storey entrance pavilion. Here the upstairs guest room has a lovely view over the pool. It is furnished with a king bed, a dressing area and a small bathroom with a walk in shower.
The fourth building is a single story guest pavilion. The two air-conditioned bedrooms in the guest suite are located on ground level, each with a soaring roof. They are mirror versions of each other, one with two twin beds that can be converted to a king, and one with a king bed. Each is furnished with a window seat, desk, TV/DVD player and a wardrobe. Each of the open air en-suite bathrooms is fitted with a rainshower positioned in a walled courtyard open to the sky. Guests can use the library/office with a computer and an open living space furnished with a built in sofa and large antique coffee table.
