With a secluded jungle location high in the hills, gadgets galore and a huge wine cellar, the resplendent Villa Zamani would make a great setting for a James Bond movie. Entering the villa at its highest level – via the fingerprint-sensitive access control, of course – you're met with an impressive panorama: the shining white of the villa's modern interior and the vivid blue of the sea and sky beyond. The welcoming manager and team of six staff will settle you into the villa's five bedrooms, all of which feature king-sized beds, private bathrooms and fantastic ocean views. A 15-seater minivan with driver provides airport transfers and is at your disposal throughout your stay for only the price of the fuel, while a skilled Thai chef prepares complimentary American breakfasts, with other meals available from a selection menu and charged at cost plus a modest service fee. With the high level of staffing and the breathtaking setting, this villa is ideal for hosting events of up to 20 people.

A movie lover's dream, Zamani is one of a few villas – if not the only villa – in Phuket to house a fully-fledged cinema room with a 120-inch projector screen. For a more intimate film-watching experience, each bedroom and the living room has a 40-inch flat-screen TV with DVD player, while a Sonos sound system conveys music throughout. A laptop computer, an iPad and an iPhone are also provided, making Zamani well suited for executive groups keen to keep in touch with the outside world during their stay.

Those who wish to switch off and bask in simple tropical pleasures will find plenty to enjoy here too: the villa’s 18m infinity pool features three in-pool sunbeds ideal for cooling down while taking in the views of Bang Tao Bay. Spilling down the hillside over four levels, Zamani offers a nice mix of private and open spaces all bathed in white, studded with colourful accents and featuring an eclectic collection of modern art. The villa’s five air-conditioned bedrooms each feature king-sized beds and top-notch audio-visual electronics. One of the two master suites and a guest bedroom enjoy the most coveted sea views from their top-floor perch. The guest bedroom features an ensuite with shower and is the only bedroom with its own study. Decadent soaks in a two-person jacuzzi tub may be enjoyed in the master bedroom’s ensuite, which also features a large shower. Incredible views extend from this bedroom’s private terrace. Directly below, the second master bedroom features the exact same design, except that its sliding doors offer access to the pool terrace rather than to a balcony. On this level, life revolves around the 18m infinity swimming pool, with an elegant black dining table set in front of a waterfall feature for enjoying alfresco meals, and a bright poly-rattan-furnished lounging area under the sala, perfect for sunset cocktails or simply letting the day drift by in cushioned comfort. Inside is an open-plan, airy living area with plush brown sofas set under a double-height ceiling and glass doors that fold completely open to the pool terrace. Next to the lounge space is an indoor dining area where sumptuous meals may be served with ease from the ultra-modern kitchen located behind it. A more intimate meal or morning coffee may be taken at the kitchen's four-seater breakfast bar.

Any remaining hint of doubt that Zamani is not your average villa is expelled as you descend to the villa’s third level and its marvellous cinema room, with six luscious red leather chairs facing a gigantic movie screen all under a twinkling, fibre-optic lit ceiling. Also on this level, catering to the full spectrum of life's pleasures, are a large, fully-equipped gym and a wine cellar stocked with some 200 selections. Two spacious guest bedrooms are also found here, both with private balconies and ensuite bathrooms with showers in grey slate tile. The villa’s staff quarters are situated on the bottom level.
